| Full
Product Set |
|
The Full Product Set (FPS), also called GLOB_4KM, covers the merged Level-3 ocean color products in the time period 1997-today. The accuracy of the FPS has been assessed by comparing with the in-situ match-up data and is reflected in the Validation Report. In case of any question, or problem, please send a mail to service@globcolour.info. |
| NRT
Service |
 |
The Near Realtime (NRT) service consists of daily and weekly Level-3
ocean color products matching the FPS in information content. The
NRT service is based on the merging of MERIS and MODIS level-2 data
over the whole globe.
|
| Demonstration products
|
 |
Several demonstration products have been generated for
testing and user feedback. They are available via the HERMES server:
PAR, Heated layer depth (2003), Secchi disk depth (2003 and
NRT), Primary Production (2003).
|
| Diagnostic
Data Sets |
|
The diagnostic
data set (DDS) is computed from the input Level-2 data products, as
well as extracted from the output merged Level 3 products.
The DDS is used as the basis for the sensor characterisation and merging
algorithm intercomparison and validation task. |
| MERIS
Level 3 |
|
Provides access
to MERIS Level-3 products using a 9 km sinusoidal grid.
Should a user be interested by the MERIS daily level 3 products at
4.6 km resolution used as input to the merging, please contact service@globcolour.info. |
| In-situ
Data |
|
The link points
toward the UoP based GlobColour Database. Access is only provided
to GlobColour consortium members, but links are provided to WWW based
in-situ sources of data that have been included in the database. |
| Google-Earth
visualisation |
|
The GlobColour
project provides access to some of its data in a form compatible with
Google-EarthTM.
The objective is to help people to easily visualise the Ocean Color
parameters in a very simple way by using a well-known, easy interactive
tool.
The current distribution is still in a "beta" version where several
distribution modes are tested (month-per-month maps, temporal animations,
all fields for each month in a single set...).
Updates of the distribution packages are planned, including new options
based on more sophisticated Google-Earth functions. |
